The Paterson Diocesan Chancery is the branch of administration which handles all written documents of the diocese, under the direction of Arthur J. Serratelli, STD, SSL, DD, Bishop of Paterson.

Msgr. James T. Mahoney, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, is the official charged with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Diocesan Center and the staff.

The  Chancellor, Sister Joan Daniel Healy, SCC, is the official charged with the execution of the canonical duties of the Office: handling and recording documents and maintaining a record of all official writings expedited or received.
